Gather these items:
1 cup white granular sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
3 heaping soup spoons peanut butter
The spoon
Mixing bowl
Sauce pan
Buttered, smooth dinner plate
The Easy Part:
Mix white sugar, brown sugar, and milk together in a mixing bowl.
The Hard Part:
Place mixture in sauce pan.
Bring to boil while stirring.
Reduce heat a bit.
Stir in peanut butter
Continue stirring the mixture
Test periodically by placing a teaspoon-size glob of the mixture in a glass of water. When it forms a soft ball, remove from heat.
Whisk with the spoon to cool it and add air. When it thickens enough that it doesn’t pour out of the pan, place the mixture on a greased (buttered), smooth dinner plate.
Let it cool, but cut it into serving pieces before it hardens completely.
